The disc mower – the smart alternative to the bar mower
The AS 700 KM rotary mower was developed for high area performance. It is the most powerful rotary mower from AS-Motor to date and enables a further increase in area performance compared to its proven predecessors.
The AS 700 KM rotary mower has a cutting width of 70 cm and a high-torque 200 cm³ GCVx Honda engine. Often rotary mowers are also called drum mowers.
Thanks to its four-speed transmission with automatic locking differential, reverse gear and parking brake, our rotary mower is suitable for slopes up to 20°. The automatic limited slip differential prevents a single wheel from spinning, locking the axle and providing optimal propulsion. When cornering, the differential remains open for easy turning. In addition, the fine graduation of travel speeds (1.9 to 4.6 km/h) allows optimum adaptation to the crop.
The mowing drum is driven by a high-performance V-belt and is mounted on a disc. This ensures a constant distance of around 5 cm between the knife blades and the ground. Should ground contact or a collision with a foreign object nevertheless occur, the drum mower is equipped with four oscillating reversible blades. These can avoid the obstacle and thus reduce potential damage to the blades and the machine. If the blades become dull from heavy use, they can be loosened and reversed. The reversible blades are much easier to sharpen and change compared to a cutter bar. Thus, the rotary mower is ready for use again within a few minutes.

Slope capability
Slope capable up to 20°, thanks to automatic limited slip differential, four-speed transmission and ATV tires with good grip.

Grass is deposited in windrows (rows) and can be conveniently collected.
Clean cut
Due to the high rotation speed and sharp blades, a clean cut is achieved, which ensures optimum forage quality.
Special feature: automatic locking differential
Only when the drive wheel is spinning, the differential lock activates automatically. Otherwise, it is inactive and the machine is freely controllable.
